FOR NOTARIES
LISTING AGREEMENT.
Review before applying or subscribing.
Effective October 19, 2026 · Version 2026-10-19-manual-qbo
ELIGIBILITY.
Each notary may maintain one profile. You must have operated your notary business for at least one year, held a Louisiana notarial commission for at least one year, maintain an active commission, and actually serve at least one of the nine parishes shown on this site. You must identify only services and parishes you are authorized and able to serve. Remote online notarization may be claimed only with the required authorization.
YOUR PROFILE.
Provide accurate identity, commission, business, service, location, and contact information. Keep it current. You authorize SWLA NOTARY to display your approved name and business, plus the contact details, services, hours, service area, and any headshot or business logo permitted by your tier. Your service-base address and review documents are not public; a separate public office address is displayed only if you provide one. You confirm you have the right to use any image or other material you submit.
Some unclaimed pages display limited facts from Louisiana Secretary of State notary data: name, commission number, commission parish, and commission date. They do not show a business, contact details, services, or availability. A state record is not an approved subscriber listing. New notaries may apply for Basic, but claiming an existing state-record profile requires a paid tier, private commission proof, and owner approval.
REVIEW.
The owner reviews each application before publication. Basic needs no payment card or photo. A paid applicant must provide a headshot or business logo and short bio. After approval, the owner sends the first QuickBooks invoice manually. Applying does not authorize a charge, and paid placement begins only after the owner confirms payment. Approval may be declined or withdrawn if information is incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, outside the service area, or inconsistent with these terms. Approval is a directory review, not a government credential or guarantee of work quality. Tell us promptly if your commission, authority, or availability changes.
PLANS.
Basic is free for a new applicant whose commission is not already represented by a state-record profile; it requires no payment card. Basic search cards show only the approved name and business name. Parish Presence is $27.99 per month for one approved parish; Regional Reach is $49 per month for up to three; Nine Parish is $79 per month for all nine; Premier is $99 per month for sitewide guide placements. Nine Parish and Premier require approved coverage of all nine. Local service-specific placements also require the matching approved service. The plan screen shows the monthly price. Choose monthly invoices or one month only when you apply. The owner sends an invoice after approval; paying it starts the first paid term.
SPONSORED PLACEMENT.
Paid cards are labeled Sponsored. On content pages, Premier appears above other tiers; peers follow the ordering shown in the plan description. Find A Notary search ranks eligible profiles by distance, regardless of payment tier. Placement does not guarantee leads, appointments, website traffic, indexing, backlinks with ranking credit, or search-engine position.
BILLING.
New paid plans are billed by SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA PROCESS SERVICE LLC through QuickBooks invoices. The first invoice is sent manually after approval. If you select monthly invoices, we may arrange for QuickBooks to email later invoices on a monthly schedule; selecting that option does not authorize an automatic charge. Each invoice must be paid separately unless you independently enroll in an eligible QuickBooks Autopay option. We cannot enroll you in Autopay through this site. One month only does not schedule later invoices. Paid placement starts or renews only after the owner confirms the matching payment; it does not continue beyond the paid-through date if a later invoice is unpaid.
You may ask us to stop monthly invoices or remove your listing. A site request does not cancel a QuickBooks recurring-invoice template or an invoice already sent; we must make that change in QuickBooks and confirm it. Stopping future invoices does not shorten a term already paid for, unless you request immediate listing removal. Unused paid time is not automatically refunded. A claimed state-record profile is hidden when its paid term ends rather than restored as unclaimed. Existing Stripe subscribers remain on their existing billing terms until separately changed. For billing, an outstanding invoice, or a refund request, contact blavan@swlaprocess.com; applicable law and the invoice terms govern any required refund.
When a paid term is due to end without an automatic renewal charge, we send short reminders to your account email seven days and three days before it ends. This includes owner-managed QuickBooks invoice plans. An invoice is not itself a renewed paid term; we confirm each payment before extending placement.
NOTARY DASHBOARD & AVAILABILITY.
Approved paid subscribers may publish a simple availability view and receive time requests in their Notary Dashboard. Keep your normal hours, date changes, and confirmed appointments accurate. Displayed times use Louisiana Central Time and are not a guarantee that you can accept a request. A visitor's request does not reserve a time; you must confirm an appointment yourself and communicate directly with the visitor. If you pause new requests, the public request form closes until you resume it. Historical requests remain available in your account while access is permitted.
Paid subscribers may optionally list cash, check, Cash App, Venmo, or Zelle® as ways clients can pay them directly. If you enable an app method, its handle, email, or phone becomes public on your profile. Keep those details accurate, use an account eligible for your business, and confirm the client, amount, and payment instructions directly. SWLA NOTARY does not process or verify payments sent through those third-party services.
CLIENT PAYMENTS.
New client payment links are temporarily unavailable; previously created links may remain accessible. When this feature becomes available, paid subscribers may connect their own Stripe account through Stripe-hosted onboarding and send a client a full-payment or deposit link after agreeing on the amount. These client charges are separate from the SWLA NOTARY directory subscription and are processed for the notary's connected account. SWLA NOTARY does not set the fee or add a per-transaction platform fee. Stripe fees and the connected account's payment, tax, dispute, refund, and legal obligations remain the notary's responsibility. Sending or paying a link does not itself confirm an appointment. If paid directory access ends, new requests and links stop; the notary retains direct access to their Stripe account for past charges and refunds.
HANNAH & NOTICES.
Paid subscribers may use Hannah for private, factual activity snapshots and optional reply drafts. Review every draft before sending; Hannah does not send replies, set prices, change hours, or confirm appointments. The private helper can be turned off; optional daily email digests are off by default. Essential application, billing, payment, and account notices remain active. New-request email alerts remain active while request intake is on; pause intake if you do not wish to receive them. We keep a dashboard copy of notices, but email delivery is not guaranteed.
DIRECT CONTACT.
Visitors may contact notaries directly or send a request through the site. SWLA NOTARY does not set your fees, accept notarial work on your behalf, confirm appointments, supervise your work, or provide legal advice. You are responsible for your own services, client communications, and legal compliance.
